What resources do I have?

Web Hosting Account Resources

When you purchase a web hosting account, they come with an allocation:

  • Disk-Space (Storage)
  • Bandwidth (Transfer)
  • Domains (Web Sites that you can host)

In addition, resellers have a limit to the number of users that they can host.

Other resources are also controlled in order to keep the shared & reseller hosting servers up and running smoothly.

  • CPU (Processing Power/Speed)
  • Memory (Physical Memory)
  • Virtual Memory
  • I/O amount of disk read/write volume per second
  • IOPs, the amount of disk read/writing operations per second

Shared: Bronze

CPU: 100% CPU Max (Equivalent to 1 CPU Core)*

CPU Average Expected: 25% (we will upgrade your package to Standard if you exceed 25% average often)

LiteSpeed PHP Processes: 25

Processes: 100 total

Disk I/O: 2MB/s (files in disk-cache do not generate I/O)

IOPS: 100

Inodes: 50 inodes per MB of space allocated to a user.

PHP Memory Limit: Up to 1024MB per thread

PHP Memory Limit: Up to 1024MB per thread

Shared: Elastic-Sites 1:

CPU: 100% CPU (Equivalent to Z CPU Cores)

RAM: 1 GB

Virtual Memory: No Limit

LiteSpeed PHP Processes: 30

PHP Memory Limit: Up to 1024MB per thread

Shared: Elastic-Sites Z:

CPU: Z x 100% CPU (Equivalent to Z CPU Cores)

RAM: ((2 x Z) + 2) GB

Virtual Memory: No Limit

LiteSpeed PHP Processes: ((Z x 10) + 20)

Processes: Z x 100 total

IOPS: (Z * 100) or 1000 whichever is higher!

Inodes: 50 inodes per MB of space allocated to a user.

PHP Memory Limit: Up to 1024MB per thread

Reseller's Sub-Accounts

CPU: 100% CPU Max (Equivalent to 1 CPU Core)*

CPU Average Expected: 5% (if an account uses too much CPU for too long it may be suspended or need to be upgraded).

RAM: 1 GB

Virtual Memory: No Limit

LiteSpeed Processes: 25

Processes: 100 total

Disk I/O: 1MB/s (files in disk-cache do not generate I/O)

IOPS: 100

Inodes: 50 inodes per MB of space allocated to a user.

PHP Memory Limit: Up to 1024MB per thread

*Elastc-Site Packages have much higher limits and no average is required as CPU is dedicated.

Please note that these resources limits are put there to stop a single account from taking down a server, and these are extremely generous limits, if you need to exceed these limits then please talk to us about an higher specification Elastic-Site or a VPS.

If you account approaches these limits many times a day, then it is likely your site has outgrown shared hosting.
