Firstly, you do not need to transfer your domain to us to host your website site with us; you only need to change your nameservers.

However, all you usually need to transfer a domain is your EPP Code (sometimes called Domain-Secret)

However, should you wish to transfer your domain, we recommend that you perform the following steps in this order.

1. Upload your website here first
2. Change the nameservers at the old registrar
3. Initiate a domain transfer

If you follow these three steps in this order, there should be no "gap" in domain availability.
